Our favorite "Blueberry Viburnum" on the farm. White flowers in spring, followed by berries. Choose your harvest stage, green berries in early summer or blue berries in late summer/fall. Can also be harvested for foliage throughout the season. Foliage turns a blend of fall colors at the end of the season.
Viburnum dentatum requires cross pollination to produce the best berry set. If you are growing this plant for berries, plant it within 50 feet of another selection of Viburnum dentatum. 'Autumn Jazz' and 'Northern Burgundy' are compatible pollinators. We want to note that we have grown 'Chicago Lustre' for years on the farm without another dentatum variety to pollinate and have always had abundant berry set.
Plant in full sun to part shade. Reaches 12' tall by 10 feet wide. Hardy in Zones 2-8.
Sold as a single, quart size shrub.
