Bare Root Shrub - Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' (10 ct)

A classic paniculata, Limelight has enjoyed popularity for decades and for good reason. This hardy flowering shrub produces large, cone shaped flowers every summer. Flowers start lime colored, and mature to light green, before turning white and then finally blush. Many stages of interest during its bloom development. Flowers left to age on the plant will provide interest well into fall. A workhorse of a cut flower here on the farm.  

Hydrangea paniculata blooms on new wood. Prune your plants every fall or early spring, before new growth has emerged. The deeper you prune the plant, the larger the flowers will be. Prune back to 12-24" from the ground for the largest flowers, higher for smaller flowers. 

Plant in full sun to part shade. Matures to 8 feet tall by 8 feet wide. Hardy in Zones 3-9. Consider providing afternoon shade in warmer zones.
