Conical, loosely structured flower heads begin white, and gradually take on pink color through the summer. Tardiva is derived from a French word meaning "tardy". It is a later blooming paniculata that can extend your Hydrangea season. As with any other paniculata, you can use this fresh or dried. The lacey flowers lend a more airy, elegant look to flower arrangements.
Hydrangea paniculata blooms on new wood. Prune your plants every fall or early spring, before new growth has emerged. The deeper you prune the plant, the larger the flowers will be. Prune back to 12-24" from the ground for the largest flowers, higher for smaller flowers.
Plant in full sun to part shade. Matures to 12 feet tall by 10 feet wide. Hardy in Zones 3-8.
Bare Root Shrubs are sold in lots of 10 roots. Bare Root Shrubs begin shipping on Week 15 (April 12th, 2027).
